STATIONERY SHOP

The team setup and operate their own stationery business which will return a profit

The range is comprised of affordably priced items required in each Key Stage at school, and is built around three themes.

Ergonomic

Designed to boost the legibility and speed of handwriting for left and right handers.

Environmental

Biodegradable and recycled stationery in fun neon shades supporting a strong environmental message.

Educational

Stationery to support history, sport, the natural world and the solar system.

Enterprise Team

A class of up to 30 can be engaged in this initiative. In a multiple entry year group each class will run the business for a term or half term, competing against each other.

Frequency

We recommend that the Stationery Shop is open for one week every half term.

Experience

The team will experience all aspects of running a stationery shop, from sales and customer service, to stock control and money management, marketing and spreadsheet based number crunching!

PSHE Contribution

Team work, managing budgets, managing risk, developing resilience to change, understanding career choices and healthy life style.

Here's how it works:

1.

Enterprise Training Modules facilitate an understanding of business planning. At the end of the training the participants will have created their business plan.

2.

Pre Interview for Roles in their enterprise initiative (eg. Finance Manager or Marketing Manager).

3.

Present Business Plan to Head Teacher.

4.

Promote the Launch of their business.

5.

Operate the Business and profit!

6.

Evaluate Business Performance and make recommendations for improvements.
